Hello friends!
It’s been a while since I jumped on here and talked to you all. Unfortunately, life sometimes gets in the way, and you need to put your passion projects on hold. But, I’m back right in time for St. Patrick’s Day weekend and trust me, I have some awesome ideas up my sleeve.
If you are a Chicagoan, you are probably gearing up for one of the craziest days of the year. However, if you are not familiar with Chicago’s wild block party, let me take a moment to fill you in!
Since 1953 Chicago has been hosting an annual St. Patrick’s Day parade and, of course, dyes the spectacular river green. Yes, green, and it’s an Instagrammable hot spot every single year. Whether you are Irish or not, people come near and far to experience this outrageous weekend! But, you must be careful because depending on where you celebrate can make or break your time in Chi-town. That is why I decided to round up a list of my favorite/festive bars and restaurants to hit while visiting.
- Charm’d: Deuce’s Major League Bar: 3505 N. Clark St, Chicago
Barr Cargo: 605 N. Wells St, Chicago
MAD Social: 1140 W Madison St, Chicago
Bub City: 435 N Clark St, Chicago
The Hangge-Uppe: 14 W Elm St, Chicago
Joy District Chicago: 112 W Hubbard St, Chicago
Woodies Flat: 1535 N Wells St, Chicago
Blanksbar: 355 N Clark St. Chicago
The Green Door Tavern: 678 N Orleans St, Chicago
Public House Chicago: 400 N State St, Chicago
Although the parade is canceled due to the Coronavirus, Chicagoans will still deck out in green and flood the streets. So, don’t forget to wash your hands constantly, don’t share drinks, maybe purchase some green latex gloves, and if you feel sick… just stay home, because let’s be honest, there’s always next year!
