Happy fall everyone! As the weather is getting colder and the days are getting shorter, some people may feel a bit melancholy. However, as the season and leaves start to change, there are a few fashion trends we have to look forward to. Personally, fall has always been my favorite season to dress for. I love pairing oversized sweaters with skirts, welcoming velvet back with open arms, and rocking my favorite patent pieces around my campus.
Recently, I have collaborated with one of my favorite retail stories called “Mixology.” This clothing store is located on the East Coast but has an awesome online store that offers fantastic deals and the top fall fashion trends. To shop Mixology, use my discount code “TiffTalk101.”
Ever since New York Fashion Week, we have seen this shiny fabric EVERYWHERE! From boots, skirts, and trench coats mixology have it all. Yes, this style is funky and out of the ordinary. However, you could wear it for day-to-day life because it is all about how you style it. I would style this fabric with a graphic tee, feminine blouse, or even an over-sized sweater.
It’s time to consider the velvet trend this year ladies! Celebrities have been crazed over the velvet trend this fall, and it just might become a style that will stick around for the winter. Designers have been launching bold colors statement apparel like dresses, booties, and even blazers. Before you go for a head-to-toe- velvet look start small by adding a touch of velvet to your outfit to improve your look.
Do you like to be stylish and comfortable? You can easily pair an oversized sweater with any bottom piece in your closet. Whether it is an edgy skirt, frayed jeans, or a feminine like skater skirt, this look is extremely versatile and can be worn for any occasion. This season you will often find me wearing an off the shoulder sweater to class or out with my girlfriends. On the plus side, it’s a fantastic way to hide a muffin top that we will soon develop during the holidays.
What I’m Wearing
Fall has always been my favorite season at Ohio University! My beautiful campus changes colors and football season is in full swing. Therefore, I threw on my army green/ Bobcat green lightweight jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch and my black mid-rise distressed stretch jean leggings from Express. These two pieces are fashion staples your fall wardrobe needs ASAP! Since the weather Is not that cold yet, I paired this outfit with a Mixology Gab & Kate End of Time lace Bralette and my Steve Madden black booties. This outfit is perfect for a fall inspired bar crawl or a autumn themed party.
